Ever wonder if an outdoor yoga retreat in desert wine country is for you?

If traveling out of the country isn't on your radar, here is why I think that the Okanagan is the ultimate choice for a weekend in radical self-love. If you like nature, quiet spaces, wine, and great conversation, then these outdoor Okanagan yoga retreats are for you. Oh... and you like yoga!  Even if you are new to yoga, and you feel nervous that you might not know that much about it, you are still in the right place. Caitlin Pickett and Shauna Nyrose bring a joyful energy to not only your yoga experiences but to the whole weekend. Having all three of us collaborate on the theme for the retreat and share in teaching yoga means you have a great balance in all different types of yoga: from flow to yin, to yoga Nidra.

Probably one of my favorite things about these retreats is driving around Predator Ridge on a golf cart ~ it's so much fun! Practicing on the three incredible outdoor platforms throughout Predator Ridge offers something unique and beautiful to each flow, in addition to the incredible Okanagan views, you sometimes hear the sound of birds & wind, or the ping of a golfer hitting a great drive; both are sounds I personally love! Think of the scent of lavender as you relax in savasana, the warm breeze on your skin, and being surrounded by other incredible humans.

Oh and not sure if I mentioned, there is also plenty of time to explore the area and nearby wineries and cideries in either Kelowna, Lake Country or Vernon B.C. Most of us spent the afternoon at the pool at the retreat this August, enjoying the sunshine and taking a well-deserved break. We like to be sure there is plenty of free time between structured activities so you can literally just do nothing. We are so grateful for the wonderful venue at Predator Ridge and their staff working to ensure clients are well-taken care of, including providing the most delicious farm-to-table meals. And trust me, after time outside, hiking, and yoga, you will be hungry!

These outdoor Okanagan yoga retreats are an opportunity to get away, reconnect, and leave you feeling rested, revitalized, and clear. You don't want to miss it.

Guest Blogger Riley Loreth from Emare Aroma Candles writes: "While I love going on walks and having fresh air around me, sometimes it can be nice to just stay cozy in your own home. And what better way to do this than with some yoga? The great thing about yoga is that you don't need any special equipment or clothing to do it—all you need are your body and a place where you won't get distracted."
